Labaid Group has established ‘Labaid Agros’ in Ashulia and Mauna – some 15 and 25 miles respectively away from Dhaka City. Besides generating employment opportunity for a couple of hundreds of people, Labaid Agros cater to the need of milk, egg, meat, fish and vegetables of Labaid Hospitals.
Projects encompassed in Labaid Agros: Dairy Project consisting of 40 high breed cows, 25 goats, and 10 lambs producing 200 liters of milk each day. Poultry project: Consists of 08 sheds of 1500 chickens in each. Besides, there is a shed that houses foreign chickens and ducks. Fishery Projects: consists of 2 medium and 6 big ponds each contains indigenous fishes like Rui, Kahtla, Mrigel, Prawn and Lobstar etc. Vegetables, Flower of orchid projects produce wide variety of vegetables and flowers which meet the daily requirements of Labaid Hospitals.
